Chicken Mechado recipe

8 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, sliced
400g chicken breast, cut into serving portions
8 sibuyas tagalog (onion)
2 potatoes, cut into chunks
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 pouch (230g) DEL MONTE mechado-caldereta sauce

Saute garlic, onion, chicken for a few min. Add 1/2 cup water and 1 tsp rock salt or 1/3 tsp fine salt. Simmer until half-tender
Add sibuyas tagalog, potatoes and bell pepper. Simmer for 10 min.
Add del monte sauce. Simmer for another 5 min.


6 servings

Chicken replaces beef.
