Grape Herb Cocktails recipe

1 cup fresh red seedless grapes
3 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tsp McCormick rosemary leaves
1 bottle italian sparkling white wine, chilled
drops of McCormick violet food color

Simmer grapes, sugar, water and rosemary leaves in a small heavy saucepan, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened and reduced
Pour into a very fine sieve. Discard solids (do not press on them). Chill syrup, covered, until cold
Pour sparkling wine into 2 wine glasses, then stir 1 1/2 tsp syrup into each drink

  • This recipe makes more syrup than you'll need for 2 drinks. Use additional for extra cocktails or stir into sparkling water or lemonade for delicious non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Prepared syrup can last 3 days in the chiller
