The Best Philly Cheesesteak in Town recipes

A scrumptious sandwich stuffed with tender slices of meat, sauteed veggies, and creamy cheese sauce - satisfying to the last bite!


Cheesesteak Sandwich recipe


500 g beef or pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
Marinated in:
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
¼ cup MAGGI Savor, Classic
cooking oil, as needed

Procedure:
Heat a tbsp of cooking oil in a sauté pan. Stir-fry the marinated beef. When cooked remove from pan and set aside.


Vegetable Mixture:
1 large white onion, sliced thinly
1 large green bell pepper, sliced thinly
1 cup sliced mushrooms (button, Shiitake)
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
In the same pan, heat a tbsp of oil.  Stir-fry each vegetable. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.



Cheese Sauce:
Combine in a saucepan and cook until blended:
¾ cup evaporated milk or full cream milk
¼ cup water
1 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese
salt and pepper, to taste
mustard (optional)

sliced hotdog bun, ciabatta, or baguette


To assemble sandwich:

Heat sauté pan with a little olive oil or butter. Pan-grill all sides of sliced bread until crisp and brown.
Arrange cooked beef slices on top of bread then top with stir-fried vegetables. 
Drizzle with cheese sauce. Serve immediately.
Makes 6 - 8 sandwiches.
