250g DEL MONTE spaghetti, cooked
150g ground beef
1 can 385g DEL MONTE italian style spaghetti sauce
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 block tofu, cut into small cubes
3/4 cup grated cheese
Saute beef in oil until light brown. Add 3/4 to 1 cup water and simmer until beef is tender
Add spaghetti sauce and bell pepper. Season with 1-1/2 tsp fine salt, 1/3 tsp pepper and 1 tsp sugar. Simmer for 10 min
Add tofu and half of the cheese. Simmer for 5min. Blend with or pour over cooked spaghetti. Top with remaining cheese.
6 servings
Tofu serves as extender
To save time, cook pasta in advance and just reheat when needed
